Davana
(Artemisia pallens)

Davana is popular in the perfume industry because it is capable of making a scent unique to the individual - this property is also obvious in the pure essential oil, making the aroma difficult to describe as it often smells quite different from person to person; regarded as a stimulant to the endocrine system; used to relieve spasmodic coughing attacks and loosen thick mucous, said to improve hormone balance, ease anxious feelings and nervousness; considered a potent aphrodisiac; soothing to dry rough skin

Therapeutic Properties:  anti-infectious; aphrodisiac; stimulant; endocrine system stimulant

Application:  diffused; applied locally, well diluted

Aroma:
  unique in that it is capable of being very different on different individuals.  Has been described as everything from a masculine floral scent to a balsamic, woodsy aroma.  The aroma of the single contains all of these components.

Contra-indications:  none known, but is relatively new to the aromatherapy world.  Consumers should be on the watch for further information as to use and cautions.
