Considered the king of all the Boswellia species this frankincense only grows on the steep slopes of coastal Somalia. The resin is used as a chewing gum in the Middle East, strengthening the teeth and providing antibiotic properties to the mouth and gums. The keynotes of this frankincense are the calming, self-centering properties that it provides. Boswellia frereana is said to enhance and balance the spiritual aspects of an individual more so than the Boswellia caterii or serrata. This makes it useful in treating stress, tension, depression and other nervous disorders. It is also helpful in improving the immune system, partially due to its antibiotic properties and partially because of its ability to raise our overall frequency.
Therapeutic Properties: prized for its spiritual and emotional balancing abilities, also a good antiseptic, tonic
Application: apply to appropriate areas of concern or chakra; diffuse
Aromatic: use in times of stress and anxiety; for fear
