Very similar to Jasmine Grandifloraumexcept that the variety blossoms late in the evening. This strength at the end of the day subtly affects the properties of this oil, making it particularly appealing to those who tend to work late into the evening - or would if they only had the energy and strength; considered a strong antidepressant, sedative and antispasmodic; flowers symbolize hope, happiness and love; because of its powerful effect on the emotions and on hormonal systems, jasmine is often effective for a very long list of physical, mental and emotional disorders, including menstrual pain, labor pains, muscle spasms, skin care, sprains, uterine disorders, etc. Jasmine (grandiflorum and sambac) flowers are extremely fragile. It takes approximately 3 1/2 million fresh picked blossoms to make a pound of jasmine oil. It is, of necessity, expensive; chemical substitutes, while having a nice aroma, do not contain the medicinal properties of real jasmine oil.
